Our
Story
In the most simple yet significant way, Echo was born from a call of God, long lunches and a combination of friends, new and old. God placed an undeniable and distinctive call in our hearts to build communities that build His Kingdom. Echo is not just our name but a prayer for our reach to go far beyond where it starts as we grow in maturity with Christ. We will build families and gatherings that spread out into neighbourhoods and cities that God calls us to. We’re planting seeds today that will grow mighty trees tomorrow. Trees planted by the River of Life which flows from our forever-source, the Throne of God. Those who call Echo home will find the healing power of God’s grace and share this beautiful Gospel with others, bringing wholeness to families, suburbs, workplaces and nations.
Our
Beliefs
God
We believe in one God, who eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit. God is the creator of all things, perfect in holiness, wisdom,
power, and love.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
and who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy
Spirit indwells every believer, empowering them for life, ministry, and
service.
The Bible
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired and
authoritative Word of God, without error in the original writings. It is the
supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Jesus
We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by
the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, fully God and fully human. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead,
ascended into heaven, and will come again to judge the living and the dead
Sin
We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin
separates humanity from God and leads to spiritual death. Salvation is found
only through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
The Church
We believe in the universal Church, the body of Christ, consisting of all
believers across time and space. We gather locally as a community of faith
to worship God, grow in discipleship, and proclaim the gospel to the world.
